Radiation Portal Monitors

The Department of Homeland Security Bureau of Customs and Border Protection program involves installation of radiation detectors at ports of entry around the country. Mercury IP Audio Communications systems are being used to conduct communications between Customs and Border Protection personnel and vehicle operators moving through seaport vehicle screening venues.

Another system that uses VoIP to tie together disparate radio assets is the
Mercury IP system offered by Trilogy Communications Ltd. According to the
contractor, Mercury IP delivers interoperability across all communication
systems, is based on technologies developed for international broadcasting
applications, and can be used to support defence and emergency
management/public safety communications.

Radio Interoperability Trial
